Congratulations on your engagement! As you begin to plan your dream wedding, one of the most important things to consider is your budget. Weddings can be expensive, but with careful planning and budgeting, you can have the wedding of your dreams (…without breaking the bank!) Finer Events & Co. is a perfect resource to help you manage your budget, and plan for all other aspects of your wedding.

So, where do you even start?

Great Question! The sooner you start budgeting…the better. Here are some of our favorite budgeting tips for you and your partner:

Determine your overall wedding budget: Let’s get the hardest part out of the way. You and your partner must determine how much money you can afford to spend on the wedding. This can be based on your savings, contributions from family members…etc. Once you and your partner agree on an amount, you have already done one of the most difficult tasks.

Prioritize your spending: Once you have a budget in place, prioritize your spending. Focus on the aspects of the wedding that are most important to you and allocate more funds to those areas. For example, if having a live band is a priority, allocate more funds to entertainment and cut back on decor. One of the most important things to have during your wedding is an experienced wedding planner. Finer Events & Co. offers a variety of services, and in our humble opinion, is a fund that you should leave room for!

Consider a weekday or off-season wedding: Wedding venues and vendors often offer discounts for weekday or off-season weddings. Consider having your wedding on a Friday or Sunday, or during the winter season when prices are lower. This is always an option when choosing to work with Finer Events & Co..

Choose a venue wisely: The venue is often one of the most expensive aspects of a wedding. Consider choosing a venue that is less expensive. Something simple, such as a park, backyard, or community center. If you are local, you have most likely heard of the gorgeous, outdoor venues located in Temecula, CA. Wine Country has so many simple, yet unique options for a wedding venue! Each Venue is different from the other, and can offer something special for you and your partner.

Track your spending: As you plan your wedding, keep track of your spending to ensure that you are staying within your budget. Use a spreadsheet or wedding planning software to help you track your expenses and make adjustments if necessary. Get creative with your spending! Although wedding planning can be stressful, it is also a time for you and your partner to bond, and make some big decisions together.

Rent or borrow decor: Rather than buying expensive decor items, consider renting or borrowing items from your family or friends. Finer Events also offers a renting service. If you visit this website you can find chargers, welcome signs, sign holders, cake stands….etc.

Create a honeymoon fund instead: Instead of asking guests for traditional wedding gifts, consider creating a honeymoon fund where guests can contribute money toward your honeymoon expenses! This can be a great way to offset some of the costs of your honeymoon. Seriously, who doesn’t want more money towards their honeymoon? Those are so many more tips we would love to share with you!

Please visit Finer Events & Co. if you are interested in learning more about our services and the tips we have for you and your special someone!

My wife is very particular about details and no less than 10 different times did I hear her say the words, "Everything is perfect." So much of this came from the attention to detail that Vanessa provided for us. From the pre-planning to the placement of every single detail that we asked for, not a single thing was missed.
